Your teacher

I’m a certified Karuna Reiki Master, which means I have studied Reiki through the full lineage and can pass those teachings on to you. I’ll be offering Level 1 and Level 2 attunements as well as Reiki Master classes here at Afterburner Farm.

What Reiki has given me

Reiki is a very personal practice. It meets every person I work with differently. For me, it has helped calm my nervous system and opened up abilities I didn’t know I had.

My first introduction to Reiki involved finding a solution to the chronic nerve pain I had for two years, for which doctors, surgeons, and chiropractors had no answer.

It was during a Reiki journey that I first experienced clairaudience. I heard the name Ariel. On a break I looked it up and learned that Ariel is an archangel known as a steward of the land, the trees, and the animals. Ariel’s feast day is July 11th, the day we bought this property.

Each meditation and each Reiki journey has been unique, bringing gifts I never expected. With my ADHD brain and multiple thoughts running simultaneously, it has helped me find an inner peace, and with it, clarity in my next steps.

We are all works in progress. Reiki has given me more brushes to paint with.

The classes

Reiki Level 1

The foundation. You receive your first attunement and learn the history of Reiki, the five precepts, and hands-on techniques for treating yourself, family, and friends. No experience needed.

Reiki Level 2

You receive the Level 2 attunement and learn the Reiki symbols, including how to send Reiki at a distance. This is the level where practicing with others really opens up.

Reiki Master

For students ready to deepen their practice, receive the Master attunement, and learn to pass attunements to others. This is the path to teaching Reiki yourself.

Why learn Reiki

In a world where we need to be prepared to show up authentically as ourselves, Reiki is a practice you carry with you. I have watched it help people heal, and it has helped me work through quite a few things of my own. Once you’re attuned, it’s yours: a quiet, portable way to care for yourself and the people (and animals) you love.
